I am a married dad of 2 boys and 1 girl. My hobbies outside CrossFit are hunting, and dabbling in photography.
WHY DID YOU START CROSSFITTING OR FITNESSING?
I have always been active in sports in one way or another. I was a state high school swimmer, I have done ½ marathons. I used to do powerlifting (bench press only). Shirene Garner (we work together at Deere and co. in cybersecurity) and I found a coupon for another CrossFit gym to start for a free month. So we decided to give it a try. We added on other people from our families and friends as time went on.
WHAT DO YOU LOVE MOST ABOUT WORKING OUT AND WHY DO YOU CONTINUE?
I love seeing what I am capable of. I am pretty strong for an older guy. I want to try to keep the muscle I have built. At the same time, I would like to lose the weight I gained over the last year of working from home.
HOW HAS YOUR FITNESS OR YOUR ACTIVE LIFE IMPACTED YOUR LIFE BEYOND INSIDE OF THE GYM?
I like the new friends I have made and it certainly allows me to have energy for the kids activities.
