TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOURSELF AND YOUR FAMILY…
I grew up in Moline, graduated from the University of Iowa, and have been married to Jim for 45 years. I have two grown children and four grandchildren and love visiting them in Louisville, KY and Richmond, VA every chance I get. I enjoy doing any type of yard work and when I get the time, reading anything by Baldacci, Flynn, Patterson, or Thor. My goal is to age gracefully and stay healthy and fit so I can do activities with my grandkids.
I grew up being a dancer and a competitive swimmer. I've always done some sort of exercise whether yoga, pilates, or lap swimming. Our daughter, Stefanie and son-in-law Sean Harris, did Crossfit Bond when they were in town. They talked about it all the time and I couldn't quite get the concept so three years ago they gave us a gift certificate for some personal training sessions. Heather convinced us that we could do Boot Camp so here we are in SWEAT!

WHAT DO YOU LOVE MOST ABOUT WORKING OUT AND WHY DO YOU CONTINUE?
I love the feeling you get when you're done with a workout that you didn't think there was anyway you would finish. I continue because I like the challenge of getting proper form and seeing what I can do.
HOW HAS YOUR FITNESS OR YOUR ACTIVE LIVE IMPACTED YOUR LIFE BEYOND INSIDE OF THE GYM?
I just feel more accomplished. I want to be the atypical 68 year old grandma and set a life long example for my children. I am grateful for everyday I'm allowed to do that.
